Booyakasha! Ali G is back, and he’s heading to America. Amazon MGM Studios has released a new trailer for ALI G: WHO IZ I?, with Sacha Baron Cohen returning as the outspoken character he created. Cohen also makes his directorial debut with the comedy.
After spending two decades “chillin’, tokin’ and bonin’,” Ali G gets a rather unexpected surprise when he discovers that his longtime girlfriend, Julie, is eight months pregnant. Suddenly facing the prospect of having another mouth to feed, Ali decides it’s time to get off the couch and make a comeback.
His plan takes him to America, where he hopes to reclaim his former glory. Unfortunately for Ali, the road back to success comes with some serious complications, and he soon finds himself facing enemies who threaten not only his future, but the life of his unborn child.

Ali G Returns for a New Comedy Adventure
ALI G: WHO IZ I? brings Cohen’s satirical character back for a new big-screen outing, with Ali attempting to turn his life around while remaining very much Ali G.
The film also comes with a tongue-in-cheek bit of promotional news: Ali G has reportedly been slammed by Kazakhstan Ministry of Information spokesman Borat Sagdiyev. With Borat and Ali G sharing a creator, the announcement leans into the irreverent humor associated with Cohen’s characters.
