WHEN YOUR CHILDHOOD HERO TURNS INTO A NIGHTMARE
Remember Buddy? The bright orange unicorn from the beloved children’s television show It’s Buddy! who spent his days singing, dancing, and teaching children valuable life lessons?
This Buddy has a much darker side.
Inside the colourful world of It’s Buddy!, children sing, dance, and learn to spread happiness. But when one child refuses to play along, cracks begin to appear in Buddy’s seemingly perfect world.
What follows transforms a cheerful children’s program into something far more disturbing.
BUDDY is directed by Casper Kelly, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jamie King. The film stars Cristin Milioti, Delaney Quinn, Patton Oswalt, Michael Shannon, Topher Grace, and Keegan-Michael Key.
Produced by Tyler Davidson, Drew Sykes, Raphael Margules, J.D. Lifshitz, and Tracy Rosenblum, the film comes from Roadside Attractions and Saban Films, with BoulderLight Pictures / Low Spark Films, Sipur Studios, and Substance.
