The jungle can be dangerous enough when you’re hunting an enemy. But what happens when something much older and far more terrifying is hunting you?
Well Go USA Entertainment has released the official trailer for The Awakening, a Colombian horror-thriller that throws an elite military team into a jungle nightmare where an ancient curse has been waiting for centuries.
A Mission That Awakens Something Ancient
An elite military unit heads deep into the Colombian jungle with a straightforward objective: eliminate an enemy target.
Things quickly go very wrong.
What starts as a carefully planned military operation turns into a desperate fight for survival when the soldiers encounter a primeval force lurking within the darkness. The jungle is no longer simply hostile terrain—the team has awakened something that has been waiting for a very long time.
But this isn’t the first time the jungle has claimed victims.
Five centuries earlier, a group of Spanish conquistadors entered the same territory and were consumed by the very curse now threatening the modern-day soldiers.
Separated by hundreds of years, the two groups find themselves facing the same terrifying force, with the jungle becoming the battleground for a fight against something that refuses to stay buried.
