Tuesday was a great day for me. I jumped in my ride and drove down to Toronto for the second annual Canadian Entertainment Awards, which celebrates the best of the best in DVD.Skipping over what I did before I arrived at the gala I’ll get right to the awards. The sold out event played host to home entertainment, music, retail and media professionals gathered at the Carlu Grand Ballroom for the Ocean’s Twelve themed evening. This year was a little different for me because I actually knew a few people before arriving making it easier to meet more people in the industry. The evening began with cocktails then moved on to dinner before the awards began. I was moved up this year from the second last row to the middle and sat with the one and only Lloyd Kaufman of Troma fame.
Me with Danielle (Troma) and Lloyd Kaufman
Plans are already in action for next years event. I’ll plan to see you all there once again. Well, without any further mumbo jumbo here are the winners.CEN READERS’ CHOICE AWARDThe Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King: Special Extended Version(Universal Studios/Alliance Atlantis Video)VIDEOSCAN BEST SELLING DVD OF THE YEARFinding Nemo(Buena Vista Home Ent.)
