The current release of the ex-MGM owned Stargate SG-1 on DVD, that would be Season 8 for those keeping track, has an incomplete episode.Want to know more??? According to the folks over at TV Shows on DVD the episode called “Threads” that ran approx. 90-minutes when it aired on TV has been trimmed down to 60-minutes on the DVD.They were kind enough to contact MGM (Sony Pictures Home Video) and got this response.
Thank you for purchasing Stargate Sg-1 Season 8 Giftset. We will be making the original broadcast version of the episode “Threads” available soon. If you would prefer that version, we will be offering an exchange and will notify you details of this exchange soon. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.
It’s nice to see a studio react to something of this nature so quickly. It seems to be more of a trend among studios now.
