Trek Titles

“The Good of the Many” should be excited over this news. Paramount has announced over the holidays that Star Trek: First Contact Special Edition and Star Trek: Enterprise Season One should be released soon to stores. For the details, beam yourself up… One of the most popular titles in the Star Trek library is finally getting the Special Edition treatment. Star Trek: First Contact will hit stores shelves in a 2-disc set on March 15th for $19.99. Alas, there are NO DELETED SCENES.Features Include –

  • Production Gallery
  • Theatrical and Teaser TrailersFeaturettes Include –

  • Unimatrix One
  • The Borg Queen
  • Design Matrix
  • The Story
  • The Misile Silo
  • The Deflector Dish
  • The Art of First Contact
  • Designs of the Enterprise
  • Making-of DocumentaryAlso in the works is Star Trek: Enterprise Season One. Only a handful of details are known for this title, but expect it to drop May 3rd with a very disapointing (as well as mildly suicidal) $100 US or $130 Canadian pricepoint – just like all the other overpriced Trek seasons. If you are going to buy do it quickly, the prices can dramatically jump even higher after the initial introductory period. Chances are the season will include animorphic widescreen video as it’s shot in and shown on TV in High Definition or letterbox depending on how you watch. It will probably also include the same sort of featurettes that are on all the other Trek seasons. Whether or not that is a good or bad thing is up to you to decide. Here is some art –
