Every kid needs someone in their corner.
Apple TV has released a new trailer for Way of the Warrior Kid, an upcoming family drama starring Chris Pratt as an injured Navy SEAL who helps his struggling young nephew find the confidence to stand up for himself.
Directed by McG (The Babysitter, Charlie’s Angels), the film is based on the bestselling book by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, with a screenplay by Will Staples.
The story follows Jake, a Navy SEAL recovering from an injury, who steps in to help his shy nephew Marc navigate the challenges of growing up. With high school approaching, Marc is struggling to find his place and deal with the difficulties that come with being a teenager.
Determined to help, Jake draws on the discipline, resilience, and practical lessons he learned during his military career. Rather than simply telling Marc to toughen up, he begins teaching him how to become a “Warrior Kid,” encouraging him to build confidence, face his fears, and discover the strength he already has within himself.
As their bond grows, Jake’s mentorship becomes about more than physical toughness. The film explores the importance of family, perseverance, and having someone who believes in you when life gets difficult.
